Organized in 1802 as “a spiritual home for Baptists moving to the new federal city,” the First Baptist Church of the City of Washington, D.C., has been welcoming believers from across the country and around the world ever since. Today, First Baptist is a congregation made up of families and young adults from across the National Capital Region.
