Church School Classes for Adults

FBC Sunday Morning Bible Study

Whether you’re a long-time Christian, a new believer, or someone who just wants to learn more about God, consider joining a Sunday morning Bible study class at FBC! You’ll get to know people, while developing your spiritual heart, mind, soul, and strength. Feel free to visit a class any time, or contact a class leader to learn more. All classes start at 9:30 a.m. in the Education Building, unless otherwise indicated.

Church School Classes for Adults

Our Adult Bible Study classes use either the Smyth and Helwys “Formations” curriculum,

or books or curriculum selected by the class which helps learners apply scripture to their lives.

Combined College and Career Class and The Breakfast Club - Room B-04, in the Meadows Room, Coordinator: Lucy Plovnick; The class is made up of single adults and couples in their late twenties to mid-thirties, although all are welcome. Millennium Class9:45 a.m.Room 217, Church Library, Teacher: Mel Doxie (Contact: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) This class is studying Gospel passages using video illustrations.

Couples Class Room 214, Church Conference Room, Teachers: Dr. Ellen Parkhurst and others: Founded in 1948, this amazing class was once taught by President Jimmy Carter, and is not limited to couples. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) Dawson-Euzelian Class Room 214 (combined with Couples Class) This is wonderful group of women who are young at heart.

Pilgrim Class Room 110, Teacher: Dr. Bill DeVries: A Bible Study Group known for its timely and stimulating discussions. Building on the principle that Church School is the second step in the disciple-making process, as well as moving believers toward spiritual maturity, our primary resource materials are the scripturally-based study guides published by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship.
